WHO DO WE TRAIN?
Different from other campaign management and candidate trainings, Bet on Us curriculum was created by Black womxn, for Black womxn
Participants will learn how to build community-centered campaigns, bringing their full identities to their candidacies because we know that Black womxn can live in our truth while leading with conviction and fighting for big structural change.
2024 is not a typical election year. We are challenged with the rise of authoritarianism, the surge in the criminalization of poverty, attacks on our bodies, and policies that leave our families behind in a concerted effort to thwart our democracy. Bet on Us sessions will bring participants together to make meaning of what's happening, find support, and learn skills that help us build power with our communities.
The Bet on Us Training Tour is a training program that will train Black womxn and femmes on the nuts and bolts of base-building, communications and messaging, how to build power collectively, and how to run community-centered campaigns.
The program will help build community among Black womxn and ground attendees in the works of womxn who made great contributions in our fight for liberation.
