The Ambassador program will further develop 16 trainees that have attended and completed one of the four trainings on the Beton Us Summer tour. BetonUs Ambassadors are trusted messengers, carrying the message of the work of the Working Families Power, and will help bring the stories, issues and lived experiences of Black working class women to Georgians. They will host story circles with Black women in their communities, capturing the issues closest to their hearts, the stories that keep them fighting, and encourage the importance of their vote in 2024 up and down the ballot. The ambassadors program is one additional entry point into the work of Work Families Power.
The Ambassadors Program will launch in September and run until the week after the election. Each ambassador will attend a two day virtual training in July before the official program launch. All Ambassadors will host two story circles, and run a relational organizing postcard program. -
For the duration of the two month program, Ambassadors agree to...
1. Commit time and energy to bi-weekly activations
2. Commit to attend a two day training in August
3. Show up with enthusiasm to work directly with their community to host space for Black womxn
4. Be available for weekday and Saturday engagements
